Â鶹TV Experts Advocating for the Housing Industry
The Office of Legal Advocacy & Compliance manages and supervises all legal programs for Â鶹TV and works on a diverse array of legal matters to advance Â鶹TV’s overall mission including litigation, regulatory and advocacy matters. Â鶹TV legal staff manages a caseload that includes cases in the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Courts of Appeals, and state appellate courts.
The office also administers the Legal Action Fund, legal education seminars on building industry-related issues to all members and affiliated HBAs, and a host of other industry-related programs.
Â鶹TV staff attorneys work with Â鶹TV committees to advance the industry’s interests relating to the risks associated with the construction of new homes and remodeling and to help the members identify, manage and minimize such risk.

2025 Immigration Enforcement Actions
Many Â鶹TV members are concerned about the mass deportation program instituted early in the second Trump Administration, which includes jobsite raids. Â鶹TV’s legal team prepared a document during the first Trump Administration, When ICE Comes Calling, containing best practices for business owners to use during ICE raids. While Â鶹TV will update the document to reflect the impact the latest policies will have on best business practices, this guidance is still valid for concerned business owners to be prepared for an ICE raid or other immigration enforcement action.
